Anamaria is an Romanian actress. She received the British Academy Television Award Best Actress award for her Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. The actress speaks French, German, English as well as Romanian proficiently. The father of her mother was an actor, and her mother was a violinist. At the Mangalia Gala for Young Actors in 2000, she took home the Best Female Actor Award 2000. In 2008 the European Film Promotion Board recognized her as the first European Shooting Star. She was a Romanian actor in Cristian Mungiu's film 4 months 3 weeks and saptamani si 2 zile (four months 3 weeks, 4 months and 2 three weeks and two days) and was given the Palme d'Or and other prizes during the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. Also, she was in the Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. In 2008, she played Yasim in BBC's five episode The Last Enemy. Marinca appeared in The Romanian drama Boogie as well as Oliver Hirschbiegel's highly acclaimed Five Minutes of Heaven. In the film Fury (2014) in which she was Irma who was the German woman who played Emma's aunt.
